Personnel

Raw materials
Several respondents named cost increases as a raw materials-related challenge. One reader added, “With mergers and acquisitions, we have fewer choices as to who we buy our raw materials from. Increased prices also hurt the bottom line.”


Regulations
One reader described the level of regulation as “excessive.” Another said, “Our local air quality agency has told us that they are hiring more inspectors whose sole job will be to generate revenue. They are also going to raise all fees and fines to make the agency more profitable.”
