Last week’s
CI CyberNews CyberPoll focused on financial expectations for next year. Overall, respondents expect to be better off in 2010 (31.5% by a little and 21.1% by a lot). The same number (23.7%) expect to be about the same financially as those who think they’ll be worse off.
Comments included:
“Very dependent on domestic customer growth in 2010. Government raising taxes will slow down growth, I fear.”
“As long as the government continues its “Sherman’s March” through the private sector and threatens tax increases and inflation, we will continue on our decline.”
“We’re all hoping for a better business environment. Attitude is most important.”
“Depends on the anti-business legislation of Congress.”
“A bit worse off. Health care costs are driving net wages down. We as a country are paying too much for too little real care. Call it socialized medicine if you must, but the only real path to lower costs is a single payer plan.”
“It can’t get much worse than this year...”
“Our small business is seeing contract renewals for 2010 and beyond. We’re also acquiring new customers. Business is starting to take off again (in spite of poor behavior on the part of many banks and credit card issuers who seem determined to undermine economic recovery with their ‘usury-type’ interest rates and exorbitant fees).”
