Last week’s
CI CyberNews CyberPoll asked respondents about their opinion of the current state of the U.S. economy. The majority of respondents (65.8%) rated current economic conditions as “poor.” “Very poor” earned 18.4% of responses, while “fair” received 15.8%. Both “good” and “excellent” received 0% of responses.
Comments included:
“With so much uncertainty regarding health care and climate change legislation, I think many employers are reluctant to hire new employees, which will mean we are going to see a long, slow recovery.”
“Until mfg. employment increases, the economy will stay weak at best.”
The Middle East wars are a money pit. Moral considerations aside, we cannot afford to continue in this manner.”
“[Poor.] It does look like things have turned the corner, though...”
“Making this worse will be the health and ‘caps’ plans that may be implemented very soon.”
