McLanahan Offers Single Roll Crushers

Single roll crushers from McLanahan Corp. reduce large size particles in the feed to a medium size, while producing a considerably lower percentage of fines than other crushers, the company reports. The single-roll design is said to be much more effective in reducing slabby material in comparison to jaw or gyratory crushers. When properly maintained, the "interrupted opening" between roll teeth and corresponding grooves in the crushing plate liners assure that slabby material cannot slip through uncrushed. According to the company, single roll crushers also often require less horsepower and lower headroom in comparison to other primary reduction crushers.
