We’ve all been hearing a lot about sustainability lately, but what can we actually do about it? An upcoming event should be able to shed some light on the subject.

The Southeastern Section and the Whitewares and Materials Division of the American Ceramic Society will hold “Sustainable Materials, Sustainable Manufacturing” October 27-29, 2008, at the Downtown Doubletree Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. The Technical Program on Tuesday will include presentations by W. Mark McGinley, Ph.D., of the University of Louisville; Hemant W. Dandekar, Ph.D., of Porcelain Industries, Inc.; Gregg Borchelt of the Brick Industry Association; and more.

This looks like it will be a great event with a very informative lineup of topics. A link to additional information, including the full event schedule, is below.
