Goodfellow Acquires Technical Glass (posted 5/9/08)

May 9, 2008

Goodfellow Cambridge Ltd., parent company of Goodfellow Corp. of Oakdale, Pa., recently acquired The Technical Glass Co., a UK-based supplier of ceramics, ceramic components and specialty glass for scientific and industrial applications. “The acquisition of Technical Glass not only extends our offering of ceramic products, it also brings enhanced competencies in custom fabrication and functionality,” said Goodfellow Managing Director Stephen Aldersley. “We expect the synergies resulting from this acquisition to be of significant benefit not only to a wide range of customers but also to both companies.”

The Technical Glass Co.’s professional staff has extensive knowledge of ceramic products, properties and applications, as well as practical, hands-on experience in product development, manufacturing and technical problem solving. John Savage, the founder of The Technical Glass Co. and an acknowledged expert in the field of glass and ceramics, will be staying with the business as a consultant.
