Sacmi: Vertical Dryers (posted 4/18/08)

April 18, 2008

The new Sacmi-developed vertical dryers were designed for customers that produce large sizes but do not want to make the production line too long by inserting a horizontal dryer. A model of this type, an EVA 414, will soon be installed in Spain. At 14 m high, this dryer represents an effective response to the need to produce medium-large tile without any negative effects on the length of the production line. Ideal for managing such large sizes, the EVA 414 also ensures optimum performance with regard to particularly sensitive materials, which can be kept in the machine for a long time without any ill effects.

As with all the latest-generation Sacmi vertical dryers, the EVA 414 features tile temperature stabilization devices and can be readily adapted to include both pre-ventilation devices and chimney fan control via an inverter. In addition, alignment of the load baskets is ensured by a position transducer and relative automatic correction system.
