Kyocera Industrial Ceramics Corp.’s Cutting Tool Division recently announced the launch of its new SIGE internal grooving system, which features an internal screw-clamp holder and innovative insert designs made from new material formulations. The SIGE system improves stability and extends product life when performing small-diameter internal grooving.

Additional features of the small-diameter internal grooving system include an internal screw-clamp toolholder, which provides excellent chip evacuation; a GER-M type insert that features a 3-D molded chipbreaker for cost-effective chip control; a GER-A type insert that features an 8 mm minimum cutting diameter with two-edge design; new PR1025 PVD-coated carbide material, which provides stable machining and long tool life; and available cermet and other coated-carbide grades.

For additional information, call (800) 823-7284, e-mail ctsales@kyocera.com or visit www.kyocera.com/cuttingtools.
