CERADYNE RECEIVES $400 MILLION ID/IQ BODY ARMOR ORDER

Ceradyne, Inc. has been awarded a five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) order from the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. The order is estimated to have a maximum value in excess of $400 million. The initial $4.9 million delivery order against the ID/IQ contract is scheduled for delivery in early 2008.

Cookson Group plc recently announced that has entered into a conditional agreement to sell Foseco plc’s Carbon Bonded Ceramics (CBC) business to companies owned by RHI AG. The CBC business had revenue of approximately £20 million (about $39 million) for the year ended December 31, 2006, and gross assets of approximately £9 million (about $18 million).
