Survey Says!
Last week's CyberPoll focused on the government's role in private industry. In response to the question, "Should the government be allowed to own a piece of any U.S. company?" 76.7% of respondents answered "no." In addition, the same number indicated that they believe that the government is too involved in the private marketplace. One reader said, "The government can not balance their own finances, control waste or corruption. How can they help the private sector in a meaningful way?" Another said, "Why shouldn't the U.S. government own parts of businesses? What is the difference between government taking a stake in a company and any other large investor? If it offers financial or
strategic advantages, why not?" Follow this link to view more reader comments. |
