Survey Says!
Last week's CyberPoll focused on Wal-Mart's announcement that it will require manufacturer-provided eco-ratings on all of the products it sells. Of the total survey respondents, 63.2% believe that this policy will lead to a universal eco-rating system. In addition, 55.3% of respondents are not in favor of such a system. One reader commented, "It will be interesting and informative to see if Wal-Mart, also known as China-Mart, will require such labels from all of their Chinese suppliers... What 'green initiatives' will Wal-Mart require of the Chinese???"
