Guest Blog: Ceramics in Bloom
Last week, Bloom Energy made ceramics sexy again. The hip, new photo opportunity is to be standing next to a Bloom Box holding a square of tape-cast zirconia. The ceramic industry hasn't seen this level of excitement since the 1980s, when a magnet levitating over a disc of superconducting YCBO seemed to be on every magazine cover... Survey Says!
In last week's CyberPoll, we asked about the effects of the unusually heavy snowfall in February. Of those respondents who answered that their business was affected (45.8% of the total), 27.3% each indicated that their business was closed for 1-3 days, 1-4 days or open, but with limited staffing. The remaining respondents' businesses (18.1%) were open but experience stalled business. Follow this link to view reader comments and share your experiences.
