Better Minerals Makes Personnel Announcements

Better Minerals & Aggregates Co. (BMAC) has named CEO Richard E. Goodell vice chairman of the board. R.C. "Butch" Reeves, currently president and chief operating officer, will assume the title of CEO. BMAC has also announced a reorganization of its businesses and the creation of a new corporate services unit. As vice chairman, Goodell will be actively involved with acquisitions and strategic planning and will chair the Health & Safety Committee of the board. As CEO, Reeves will continue to oversee BMAC's daily business operations. The presidents of Stone Materials and U.S. Silica, the company's two operating units, as well as the executive management team in the company's new service unit, BMAC Services Co., Inc., report to Reeves.
