A new innovation from Paar Physica allows users of DV-P series viscometers to change samples and spindles without moving the instrument up and down, and protects the spindle from accidental damage. Called the Magic Coupling(TM), the new magnetic coupling allows users to quickly and easily change spindles with one hand and eliminates bent spindles, one of the most common causes of viscometer failure. With traditional screw couplings, moving the sample container by accident without using the spindle guard could damage the instrument shaft or bend the spindle. The new magnetic coupling gives way before the spindle or shaft is damaged.
