CERAC Signs Distribution Agreement with VEM

CERAC, inc. has signed an agreement with Vacuum Engineering & Materials Co., Inc. (VEM) to distribute its line of thin film materials on the West Coast.

CERAC, inc. has signed an agreement with Santa Clara, Calif., based Vacuum Engineering & Materials Co., Inc. (VEM) to distribute its line of thin film materials on the West Coast. In the agreement, effective May 1, 2002, VEM was given rights to service and sell CERAC's evaporation materials and sputtering targets in the western region of the United States. "This agreement allows us to provide improved face-to-face service to our growing base of West Coast customers," said E.J. Strother, marketing and business intelligence specialist at CERAC. "Vacuum Engineering has a great deal of knowledge and experience in the thin film materials industry and our customers will benefit from their strengths." In addition, VEM brings target bonding capabilities closer to CERAC's West Coast customers, reducing the need to ship backing plates to the CERAC factory for bonding.

The company's website is located at http://www.cerac.com.
