Struers: Replicating System
April 3, 2001
Struers recently introduced RepliSet, a new replicating system for non-destructive testing and engineering inspection. It is designed to transfer the microstructure of a surface to a highly accurate and stable replica, as well as to produce an exact 3-D copy of an engineering surface. The replica is subsequently analyzed off-site under laboratory conditions. Replicas can be taken of all metallic materials and most other solid materials like ceramics, plastics, glass and concrete. RepliSet compounds are particularly useful for inaccessible surfaces and irregularities on critical components that need to be examined and measured under laboratory conditions.
