"Powder Injection Molding -- Design and Applications," by Randall M. German, Brush Chair Professor in Materials and director of the Center for Innovative Sintered Products at The Pennsylvania State University, is being published by Innovative Materials Solutions, Inc. This text will allow designers to combine the cost-effective attributes of plastic injection molding with the performance and engineering properties associated with metals, ceramics, carbides, cermets and other durable materials. This book, which brings simple design rules and applications data to PIM technologies, is illustrated with more than 350 drawings, photographs and tables. The guide contains hundreds of recent citations and is a practical resource for all suppliers, manufacturers, designers and users of the technology.

The price of the 300-page book is $165; a reduced prepublication rate of $145 will be in effect until April 30, 2003. For the complete table of contents and to order, visit http://www.imspowder.com/pubs .
