Eirich and Noll: Combined Technologies for Powder Processing Industry
March 12, 2003
An innovative combination of Eirich milling and Noll classifying technologies has created a new perspective in the powder processing industry. In December 2002, the companies worked together to combine the Eirich MaxxMill(R) and the Noll MultiNo(R)-SE classifier. The combined units were started up at Noll's Cologne, Germany, site with immediate success. Based on those results, Eirich has decided to acquire a MultiNo(R)-SE classifier to upgrade its technical test laboratory in Hardheim, Germany. Using this dry system, producers can save time, energy and processing costs when milling their products, whether in large quantities by wet ball milling or in smaller quantities using jet milling technology to very fine particle sizes. In addition, the equipment can be used much more efficiently because of its reduced starting quantities and waste material quantities, which is especially important in the processing of high-cost materials.
