Materialographic laboratories can maximize output, sample quality and processing efficiency, while meeting or exceeding labor and other cost-containment objectives, with the new TegraSystem from Struers, Inc. The TegraSystem is a modular system of high-quality sample preparation equipment, which is easily configured in a variety of ways to give the user the flexibility to use all types of materials at all levels of sample throughput requirements. The new system has the capability to consistently reproduce identical materialographic samples, which is crucial to success in materials testing, failure analysis or application development. The TegraSystem features the choice of six grinding and polishing machines, three specimen mover heads and two dosing systems. The system is engineered to control semi-automated processes, as well as many of the variables that influence successful sampling.
