Harper Hires New Manager for Asia-Pacific

Harper International Corp. has hired Dr. Michael Ni to lead the company's sales development in the Asia-Pacific region and implement the company's latest patented technology there. Dr. Ni holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University. A native of Taiwan, he most recently managed Asia-Pacific sales and marketing, global business development, and acquisition/joint ventures activities focused in China and Japan for Saint-Gobain. Prior to that, Ni worked in the research, development and engineering areas for IBM and Corning. He will work out of the company's headquarters in Lancaster, N.Y. Eventually, Harper plans to install a new office in the Asia-Pacific to provide customer service and post-sales support. Currently, Harper provides those services for the region out of its Beijing, China, office.
