IFS Signs Contract with Imerys

IFS recently announced that it has signed a contract with Imerys North American Pigments and Additives Group to provide business software and services. Imerys' Pigments and Additives Group will implement IFS' software to support its North American headquarters in Atlanta and production facilities in the United States and Mexico. Earlier this year, IFS signed a separate contract to provide business software and services to portions of Imerys' process manufacturing operations in the United Kingdom and Europe. The North American Pigments and Additives Group will implement IFS components for its core business processes, including financials, supply chain management, manufacturing, engineering and e-business.

David Shea, vice president of information technology for Imerys Pigments and Additives globally, said, "IFS met the essential requirements for a new business system -- an integrated set of modules for the entire enterprise, incremental deployment to minimize disruption, and scalable software capable of rapid change without excessive reconfiguration. Of equal importance was the ability to interface with multiple legacy systems. Because IFS can integrate to our existing technology, we're not forced to abandon everything."
