CTI Expands Plant, Adds Two Production Lines
April 16, 2002
Ceramiques Techniques et Industrielles (CTI) of Salindres, Southern France, expects to complete a 2500 m2 (27,000 sq. ft.) plant expansion by the end of May 2002, bringing the total plant area to 5500 m2 (59,000 sq. ft.). The plant expansion will accommodate two new production lines that will be operational by the end of June 2002. Line 1 is dedicated to the production of honeycomb ceramics by the extrusion process. Products will include catalyst supports for stationary applications, diesel exhaust particulate filters and other hot gas filters. Line 2 is dedicated to the production of open cell ceramic foams. Products will include catalyst supports and filters for the removal of non-metallic inclusions from molten high temperature alloys. CTI has 10 years of experience in researching, developing, prototyping and manufacturing (on a small scale) a family of controlled pore ceramics and specialty refractories for a broad range of industrial applications. The recent plant expansion adds one more dimension -- large-scale manufacturing capabilities.
