Pro-Guard(R) is Bindicator's patented probe and circuit design, which is used on the company's RF series of capacitance type level switches. Pro-Guard prevents false indications by canceling out the effects of material coating on the probe due to sticky, dusty or clinging materials. An electrically active metal band generates a field of electricity that keeps the probe signal from shorting to ground through the coating. The RF series level switch alarms only when the actual bulk of material (dry or liquid) comes in contact with the probe.
