Alan Skinner has been appointed business development manager for Crowcon's fixed gas detection systems. The fixed systems market is a major growth area for Crowcon, and this strategic appointment will help the company consolidate its position in this area. With over 30 years of experience in gas detection, Skinner has held numerous positions in Europe and the U.S. He was the gas detection expert during the building of the Channel Tunnel between England and France -- one of the largest underground engineering projects of the 1980s -- and also engineered the CO system for the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, one of the world's tallest buildings.
