The Brick Industry Association (BIA) committee on Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) has established a new contest to recognize excellence in the areas of environmental stewardship and employee health and safety. Entrants will be asked to provide anecdotal and empirical information on the degree to which their program boosts employee health and safety and/or environmental stewardship, and provide examples of company commitment to expanding employee knowledge of and sensitivity to occupational health and safety issues and/or environmental stewardship.

BIA members can enter this free online competition at http://www.bia.org until the end of January 2005. Winners will be announced at the Brick Show annual banquet March 19, 2005, at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla. For more information, call (703) 674-1545 or e-mail jcasper@bia.org.
