Cancarb Ltd. has received certification for its quality, environmental, and health and safety management systems from the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB). Cancarb is the first carbon black operation in North America to receive all three certifications -- ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. "The entire Cancarb team is to be praised for their attitude, personal and corporate, toward doing things the right way," said Roy John, CGSB team leader. Bob Hale, president and chief operating officer of Cancarb, said, "This achievement further demonstrates to our customers, employees and the community of Medicine Hat [Alberta, Canada] our commitment to all areas of business. For our customers, this certification means they no longer need to review our environmental, health and safety practices, making it even easier to do business with us."
