Zschimmer & Schwarz U.S. Division recently began production of ceramic tile chemicals at its manufacturing plant in Milledgeville, Ga., producing a full range of products from printing mediums, binders and glaze additives to deflocculants and fixatives. In partnership with its Italian subsidiary CERAMCO and its parent company in Germany, Zschimmer & Schwarz has over 100 years of experience and expertise in the ceramic tile industry. The company offers full support to the ceramic tile industry throughout the U.S. and is able to deliver quality products to the market very quickly. "Traditionally, many companies in the U.S. have had to rely on importing chemical products from Europe," said Paul Cuthbert, divisional manager. "This is now a real headache due to unfavorable exchange rates and extended delivery times. We have a tremendous advantage offering competitive products made locally. We have successfully transferred technology from our European colleagues and are able to offer the same quality products in a day or so that previously would have taken 6-8 weeks to be delivered."
