BuzzMac Software has opened a new testing facility at its Glendale, Wis., location. Customers can send samples for dynamic elastic property measurement, including Young's modulus, shear modulus and Poisson's ratio. The elastic properties will be measured using the company's proprietary Buzz-o-sonic testing system, which utilizes the impulse excitation technique as described in ASTM E1878 and C1259. A broad range of materials and a wide range of sizes -- from microns to meters -- can be tested. Sample shapes include rectangular bars and plates, discs, tubes and rods.
