Krebs & Riedel, a manufacturer of grinding disks, recently streamlined its polishing disk drying line through a collaboration with Lippert. A jointly prepared requirement profile showed that the most feasible solution would be a dynamic climate-controlled ventilation technology with controlled temperature, humidity and air speed graphs. The new made-to-measure drying chamber has met all of the company's requirements and has led to a reduction of drying cycles, a reduction in rejects through the minimization of drying errors, reproducibility of drying results, minimization of process-related down times, QM compliant documentation of all relevant process data, and increased customer satisfaction.
