Ceradyne Receives $5.3 Million Ceramic Body Armor Order

Ceradyne, Inc. recently announced the receipt of a $5.3 million order for its ceramic body armor system used to protect certain elite U.S. military personnel. This order is scheduled to be shipped during the first six months of 2006. "We are pleased to continue supplying ceramic body armor systems to protect these elite U.S. forces in the war on terror," said Joel Moskowitz, chief executive officer. "This order represents Ceradyne's state-of-the-art ballistically enhanced systems and are different and separate from the large orders for small arms protective inserts (SAPI) the company previously announced."
