Like you, Ceramic Industry recognizes that we must continually adapt to the changing needs of today's markets. To that end, we have a number of new initiatives planned for 2006 to provide you with even more of the information you need to be truly successful. For example, in this issue we're debuting our new focused market report, Ceramic Defense, which covers the latest advances in body and vehicle armor. Future editions will cover other military and security applications.
With the assistance of a new Ceramic Energy Editorial Advisory Board, we will also continue to expand this targeted supplement to keep you abreast of the newest market opportunities and technologies in the exciting field of energy, including fuel cells, solar/wind power, batteries, supercapacitors, nuclear energy and gas turbines. Our "Industry Leader of the Year Awards" in December will highlight individuals who have demonstrated successful management styles; investment strategies; growth in sales, profit margins and/or employment; quality improvements; personal and corporate ethics; industry involvement/contributions; and other related achievements. New for 2006, we will also present an award to an outstanding leader in the pottery production field.
