Countis Industries develops and manufactures advanced microwave ferrite materials for use in airborne and ground radars for military and commercial applications, as well as microwave instruments for cancer radiation, linear accelerators and industrial ovens. Founded in 1964 in San Luis Obispo, Calif., the company moved to a new building located in the Carson City Nevada Light Industrial Airpark in 1982. A new 20,000-square-foot facility is under construction, and the company expects it to be completed this year. Countis Laboratories develops and produces high-quality garnets, dielectrics, assemblies and substrates.
