Oneida Ltd. has announced that Andrew G. Church, currently chief financial officer (CFO), has been given additional responsibilities and promoted to chief operating officer (COO) of the company. He will continue to serve as CFO, a position he has held since joining Oneida in 2004.
Church’s expanded responsibilities include corporate development and planning, global supply chain management, information technology, finance and administration, legal, human resources, and investor relations. He will also support the implementation of Oneida’s ongoing expansion into the Latin American, European, Middle East/African, and Asian luxury hotel and gaming market segments, and the pursuit of international consumer licensing opportunities.
“Andy has played a key role in the revitalization of Oneida,” said James E. Joseph, president and chief executive officer of Oneida. “His work on improving the operational performance of the company and leading last year’s successful balance sheet restructuring have given Oneida a firm foundation for growth.”
Church’s prior experience includes building the profitability of global businesses through acquisitions, process improvements and operational turnarounds in a variety of industries, including life science/biotechnology, media, IT/e-commerce and consumer products. Prior to joining Oneida, he was interim vice president of Saleslink Corp., a subsidiary of CMGI, Inc.; executive vice president and chief financial officer of Nurun, Inc.; and vice president, Planning and Business Development of Quebecor Printing (USA) Corp.
Church started his career at the accounting firm of Ernst & Young, LLP where he was a certified public accountant. He earned a bachelor’s of science degree from Lehigh University and a master’s of business administration degree from Cornell University.
