Thermal Technology Expands Facility (posted 9/26/08)

The expansion doubles the company's refractory metal hot zone production capability and decreases order lead time for related furnaces and other components.

Thermal Technology LLC recently expanded its refractory metal hot zone fabrication capabilities by adding almost 4000 square feet of production space and increasing manpower at its facility in Santa Rosa, Calif. The company produces high-temperature vacuum furnaces, many of which require elements and shielding systems fabricated from refractory metals like molybdenum and tungsten.

Thermal Technology’s recent expansion doubles its refractory metal hot zone production capability and decreases order lead time for related furnaces and replacement refractory metal hot zones and their components. “Our strategic growth plan involves increasing our capacity and capabilities to better serve our customers,” said Matt Mede, president and chief executive officer. “This expansion of our hot zone fabrication will positively affect prices and lead times for our customers.”
