Jarden Corp. recently kicked off the 125th anniversary of its hallmark Ball® Jar brand with an appearance by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Martin Franklin on “The Martha Stewart Show.” On the show, Franklin and Stewart recounted the history of the Ball Jar and explored creative uses of the jars today as Americans spend more time at home together. During the program, Stewart also noted the versatility and practicality of Ball Jars in and around today’s home.

The Ball Jar was first introduced in 1884 by the Ball Brothers Glass Manufacturing Co. in Buffalo, N.Y. Known around the world as a premium brand for food preservation, the Ball brand remains a vital and iconic name rooted in American history that is a popular and practical item used today. As a cornerstone of Jarden Home Brands, a subsidiary of Jarden Corp., it remains the leader in home food preservation.
