AMACO Seeking Artwork for Publication

If you use AMACO glazes, this is a chance to be seen by your peers and by collectors as well.

AMACO is seeking artwork for publication to showcase AMACO glazes. There is no cash compensation when artwork is chosen, but credit will be given to the artist. This is a chance to be seen by your peers and by collectors as well. The single largest source of traffic to the AMACO website is from “Google Images,” because people are looking online for photos of ceramic art each day.

There are a number of avenues for sending AMACO photos of your art, or for sending in your students’ work (of all ages/grade levels). The easiest way is to e-mail images to with your name, profession, school/university and/or your hometown. Only artwork that is submitted with specific AMACO glaze names will be published.

When you send in artwork, you automatically grant AMACO permission to publish your artwork on, in the AMACO and Brent catalogs, on the AMACO page on Facebook® (with your name given as credit). You may also add your designation or school, such as professional potter, educator, professor of ceramic art, etc., so proper acknowledgment is given. Testimonials or helpful tips about our glazes may be quoted, unless you specify “No Quotes.”

Other places where you can upload your artwork: AMACO’s Social Network (where a monthly gift certificate is given each month of 2009 to celebrate the 90th anniversary of AMACO), as well as the “Wall” on the AMACO page on Facebook.

Artwork sent in with any AMACO glaze lines is welcome, particularly: Old-World Crackle, Opalescent, Pompeian Ash, Stone Texture, Sahara, Celebration, SnowFluff, Overdrift, White Crawl, White Pebble, Matt, Deco Gloss, Lustre, Arroya, TL-1 or TH-1 Texturizers; or these underglaze/overglazes: Designer Velvet, Velvet-1-Strokes, Sun Strokes, Semi-Moist Underglazes, Semi-Moist Overglazes, Chalk Crayons, Underglaze Pencils, Engobes, OB-Series Versa Color, and WB-Series Versa Color.
