Susan (Sue) Barkal, vice president of Quality and chief compliance officer, will join KEMET Corp.’s leadership team. Barkal joined the company as a Quality engineer in 1999 and was promoted to vice president in 2009. She previously worked at Nalco Chemical as a sales engineer and at General Dynamics as a senior manufacturing engineer.

“We could not be more pleased to have such a well-respected member of KEMET join our leadership team,” said Per-Olof Loof, director and CEO. “Quality is our number-one priority at KEMET, and with 11 years of truly understanding our customers, products and processes, Sue is an ideal fit for this expanded role and has earned the complete confidence of our senior leadership team. In addition, she has done an outstanding job in leading the company’s corporate compliance programs, and her appointment to our leadership team reflects the company’s commitment to stringent legal and regulatory compliance and ethical business practices.”
