Dry glazing booths can produce the recovery of 99% of excess glaze-without the need for water and associated purification systems.

Dry glazing booths built by Gaiotto Automation, the Sacmi Group’s designer and producer of automated systems for the glazing and handling of ceramic products, can produce the recovery of 99% of excess glaze-without the need for water and associated purification systems.

Process automation solutions have been the focus of key investment choices by three leading sanitaryware companies in the Civita Castellana district. The first, Ceramica Flaminia, which specializes in the production of vitreous china and fine fire clay sanitaryware, has ordered and installed five glazing booths. A very fine filtration system allows them to work in a fully automated fashion without the need for water or purification systems. Ceramica Catalano and Gsi each purchased one system as well.

Dry glazing offers the dual advantages of eco-compatibility (the recovered glaze is collected in a special tank and fed back into the production cycle) and the low maintenance costs due to the machine’s “self-cleaning” properties.
