The Canadian Forces Base in Kingston boasts a popular pottery club.

Members of the military community need an artistic outlet just like everyone else. The CFB Kingston Pottery Club in Kingston (Ontario, Canada) is a popular spot for budding ceramic artists on base. More than 50 members take advantage of the studio's professional pottery wheels, kilns and equipment. Everyone mixes their own non-toxic, eco-friendly glazes, and senior members teach the rookies in a pay-it-forward system. Although the military pays for the space and the electricity, the club finances its own supplies and materials through art sales. For more information about the CFB Kingston Pottery Club, visit
