Look Inside GlassBuild America 2011

From September 12-14, flat glass manufacturers, retailers, distributors, architects, contract glaziers and builders will convene in Atlanta, Ga., at the Georgia World Congress Center for GlassBuild America. This year’s event will feature a comprehensive exhibit hall, as well as educational seminars and forums for professionals in the glass window and door industries

Exhibit Hall

The exhibit hall will provide over 110,000 sq ft of meeting space for exhibitors to showcase glass processing and manufacturing equipment and technologies. Expo registration begins on Sunday, September 11, and the exhibit hall will be open all day Monday and Tuesday.

During the show, attendees will be able to explore exhibits from hundreds of companies in the glass, window and door industries. A complete list of 2011 exhibitors is available at www.glassbuildamerica.com/floorplan_2010_2011.htm.

One special feature on the expo show floor will include live demonstrations of impact-resistant glass against simulated hurricane conditions. The popular Innovative Products Pavilion will also display the latest cutting-edge inventions, green technology and sustainable designs. In addition, a six-booth Glass, Window & Door Pavilion will spotlight industry associations.

Education and Networking

Each year, GlassBuild America offers a wide selection of educational forums and seminars taught by industry professionals. Forums for 2011 will include the National Glass Association’s Glazing Executives Forum, the Window and Door Dealers Alliance Forum, and the inaugural Architects Forum. Registration for any of these forums also provides full access to the trade show floor.

Scheduled seminars for 2011 will cover the following industry topics: “Building Integrated Photovoltaic: It’s Not the Future, It’s the Now,” “Trends in Decorative Glass” and “Specifying Windows and Doors Using Performance Standards.” All seminars are designed to address relevant industry issues and concerns.

A GlassBuild America Welcome Reception will be held on Monday evening in the Thomas Murphy Ballroom and will provide an additional networking opportunity.
