FLSmidth has received an order from Allied Nevada Gold Corp. to supply equipment and services to its gold mine located near Reno, Nev. The contract includes delivery of two SAG mills and three ball mills. The plant capacity will be over 100,000 tons/day of gold- and silver-bearing ore. The capacity of the plant will reportedly make it the largest concentrator of its size in North America ever put into operation in a single phase.

Prior orders from Allied Nevada for FLSmidth equipment include a primary gyratory crusher, as well as cone crushers for delivery in 2012.

“Our One Source approach and our local presence have been important factors in FLSmidth winning this order,” said Jørgen Huno Rasmussen, group CEO. “The customer has contacted FLSmidth directly and we are glad to be able to offer nearby support and service while also delivering operational capacity that is among the best in the world.”
