NSL Analytical Services Receives Nadcap Re-Accreditation

NSL Analytical Services Inc. recently announced that its Chemistry Division has been re-certified as a Materials Testing Laboratory by Nadcap, a worldwide cooperative program that designates a reliable supply base for the global aerospace industry. NSL was originally certified in 1994 and has maintained continuous certification since.

“We are audited to the Nadcap AC7101 family of checklists, encompassing a wide range of our available materials testing capabilities,” said Larry Somrack, president. “Capabilities included in the scope are Spark-OES, XRF, ICP-AES, ICP-MS, Atomic Absorption Graphite Furnace (GFAA), and Wet Chemistry Gravimetric analyses. These are for material matrices that include Al-base, Ni-base, Co-base, Cu-base, high and low alloy Fe-base, Mg-base, and Ti-base alloys. It means that our customers can rely on the consistent quality and correctness of our results, and that we follow industry-recommended practices with our testing.”

Originally called the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program, Nadcap is operated by Performance Review Institute (PRI), which was founded in 1990 by the Society of Automotive Engineers, now known as SAE International. Nadcap is an industry-managed, consensus approach to OEM oversight of special process, product, and service providers. Nadcap is now an integral part of the supplier management system database for almost all of the world’s aerospace manufacturers.
