A new mobile Slurry Calculator app can be used for calculating the specific gravity of clay water slurries, from percent solids or percent solids from specific gravity. The default solid phase density is set to 2.6, which is typical for many common ceramic slurries and slips, but can be set to the user’s specifications. The app is available in both the iTunes app store and in the Android Market.
