This company recently released its Lean Brick, which has larger core holes that reportedly result in a lighter, more energy-efficient product that helps companies go green. This “lean” version of both King Size and modular brick can generate savings of about 11% in energy used to fire or burn the brick. Additional savings are realized in transportation costs because the lean brick weigh approximately 3.15 lbs, compared to 3.5 lbs for a conventional King Size brick.
