Talison Lithium Ltd. recently announced that the stage-two expansion at its Greenbushes Lithium Operations has been completed and commissioned on time. The project was also reportedly within budget.

Talison expects to progressively increase production from the expanded plant as market demand grows. Talison also intends to continue its strategy of seeking higher product prices to support its further capital expenditure to provide a long-term, stable and growing supply of lithium.”

The expansion reportedly more than doubles Talison’s production capacity. It was designed to be large scale to both provide operational efficiencies and enable Talison to support the future needs of the lithium market. Talison reportedly expects to progressively increase capacity usage of its expanded chemical-grade concentrate processing plant as the lithium market grows. However, the expansion also reportedly provides Talison with the capacity to respond rapidly to changing conditions in the lithium market.
