Buck Appointed Libbey VP, CFO

Libbey Inc. recently announced the appointment of Sherry Buck to the position of vice president, chief financial officer. She will join the company as an officer on August 1. Buck previously served as chief financial officer of Global Product and Enterprise Cost Leadership for Whirlpool Corp. Concurrent with the appointment, Richard Reynolds, previously chief financial officer, was named to the new position of executive vice president for Strategy Program Management.

“I am very excited to have Sherry Buck join our senior management team,” said Stephanie A. Streeter, CEO. “Her experience in a variety of financial leadership roles in different businesses within Whirlpool, her strategic leadership in addressing cost initiatives, and her tenacity and hands-on approach will serve Libbey well. In addition, Sherry has general management experience and brings a solid international background to the company.

“We are also pleased that Dick Reynolds, after serving as CFO since June 2010, will be leading our strategic program management office. This new approach for Libbey, combined with Dick’s knowledge of the business, will help ensure we stay on track toward our goals as we implement our strategic initiatives.”
