The MegaShear ultra-high-shear mixer is a patented inline rotor/stator designed for high-volume and high-throughput deagglomeration, emulsification, and homogenization requirements. Reportedly outperforming conventional high shear mixers, colloid mills and even high-pressure homogenizers in many applications, the MegaShear can produce very fine emulsions and dispersions at a decreased cycle time. In addition, it is reportedly not susceptible to common milling and homogenization issues such as clogging, sensitivity to viscosity changes, time-consuming clean-up, and intensive maintenance.
