Following the recommendation of the Nominating Committee and approval by the Board of Directors, Asahi Glass Co. Ltd. (AGC) has announced several executive officer appointments, as well as other personnel changes.

Effective October 1, Yoshiaki Tamura, currently senior executive officer and president of Electronics company, and GM of Display General Div.), will become senior executive officer, president of Electronics company.

Takashi Fujino, currently senior executive officer, overall business management (Finance) and GM of the Office of the President, will serve as senior executive officer, overall business management (Finance); GM of the Office of the President; and group leader of the Corporate Planning Group.

Shinji Miyaji, who is now executive officer, group leader of Corporate Planning Group and Office of the President, will become executive officer, deputy GM of the Office of the President.

Kazuyoshi Watanabe, currently executive officer, GM of Technology Development, General Div., Electronics company, will fill the role of executive officer, GM of Display General Div., Electronics company.

Motoichi Iga, who is now group leader of the Forming & Fabrication Group, Production Technology Center, Technology General Division, will serve as GM of Technology Development, General Div., Electronics company.
