PPG Industries has launched a new residential glass website to help homeowners more easily shop for windows and window glass. Divided into five sections, the site is highlighted by a comprehensive “Understanding Window Glass” area that describes how insulating glass units (IGUs) help save energy, the benefits of energy-efficient windows, and how low-emissivity (low-e) glass works. Also included are a glossary and a list of frequently asked questions that addresses issues such as the best types of window glass for specific climates.

The new site features more content and better navigation than the one it replaced, along with more integrated links and functionality, said Bradley P. Boone, PPG Market manager, Residential segment, Flat Glass. “We did a lot of research with customers and end-users to determine the content that was most important to them and how to access it more readily. I think visitors will find that this site makes glass information easier to find and understand.”
