I was walking our three dogs and our foster dog on a recent Saturday morning when a woman pulled up in a car and asked if I was a professional dog walker. This happens to me fairly often. This time, though, when I told this lady that I wasn’t, she didn’t want to believe me. (She was in the market for a dog walker, apparently, and it looked to her like I fit the bill to a tee.)
In any event, I was surprised at her persistence. Walking four dogs is the norm for me, but she seemed to find it positively unbelievable that they are all part of our household. After she left and we continued on our way, it occurred to me that a lot of companies in the ceramic industry could consider what they do every day to be the norm, too, while other ceramic manufacturers (and certainly society at large) might actually be surprised at their endeavors.
To that end, keep in mind that whether you’re a traditional or technical ceramic manufacturer, glass producer or brick maker (or involved in any other related sector), Ceramic Industry is here to help you crow a little about your accomplishments. Please don’t hesitate to send us your press releases about new technologies, expanded facilities, personnel appointments, etc. If you’ve had a particularly successful product installation, let us know—it might make a great case study article. In addition, your company undoubtedly has considerable expertise; please consider sharing it by contributing a feature article.
